About the company

TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site* from reviews to bookings, has partnered with OysterConnect.com to launch a nationwide Influencer Outreach Program. Under this Program, we plan to onboard influencers (bloggers / instagrammers / YouTubers, etc) across India onto the TripAdvisor Platform to post their content. OysterConnect.com will, therefore, be running this project on behalf of TripAdvisor, whose branded sites are home to the world’s largest travel community, reaching 456 million unique monthly visitors, and more than 661 million reviews and opinions covering approximately 7.7 million accommodations, airlines, experiences, and restaurants.

Project Steps

  • Project Summary: This is a World Class, One-of-a-kind Virtual Internship cum Campus Ambassador Program which helps students to get a "Simulated Career/ Job Experience", consisting of Promotions to various levels of Organizational Designations, Multiple Certificates & Rewards (starting from Project Completion Certificates to Internship and Work-Ex Certificate), and can be executed alongside your usual academics. The Program duration is 3 months in which Interns have to complete certain tasks according to a monthly schedule. For each month, the work will be further divided into weekly tasks. Not only does this Program offer Flexibility in work hours & schedule, it also allows you to exit from the program at any time during the 3 month period!
  • In the 1st Month,
    1. Interns will be provided with a Designation of "Associate- Campus Marketing" and will Conduct Fieldwork for TripAdvisor Co-branding Activity during the week/ weekend.
    2. Interns have to Recruit a set of 5 associates (friends, club coordinators, etc.), train them on the project guidelines and get each associate to do the fieldwork on TripAdvisor that week/ weekend
    3. Similarly, complete the 1st month's tasks yourself and with the help of your associates according to the project guidelines.
  • In the 2nd Month,
    1. Interns will be provided with a Designation of "Campus Marketing Manager" and will Run a College wide TripAdvisor Co-Branding Competition against which the winners will get exclusive rewards (such as Guaranteed Selection to SIP/ Excel Training Program).
    2. You have to Create and put up Posters on the TA Weekend Challenge, around the Campus to generate visibility around the project/ competition.
    3. Use Social Media Posts to spread the word, highlight the need for working on TripAdvisor project and share your email id/contact details so that Interested students can contact you for the same.
    4. Execute the TripAdvisor Co-Branding Competition during the weekend successfully by ensuring all the participants are stepping out for the activity and are following the guidelines properly.
  • In the 3rd Month,
    1. Interns will be provided with a Designation of "Senior Campus Marketing Manager" and will Make Presentations to their Juniors and fellow batchmates as part of other college events & activities. Additionally, their associates must also do the same in their own classes or clubs.
    2. Keep working along with your associates to ensure that the tasks are completed.
    3. Convert your best associates into long term Interns (especially juniors) to continue working on either this Internship or Any Other Virtual Internship provided by OysterConnect.com.

Expected Project Output

Complete the Co-Branding of min. 170 Hotels/ Restaurants from the areas/ list allocated to you in 3 months through the above mentioned activities.

Any leftover stickers remaining with you after completion of the project targets or in case you are dropping out from the project, need to be returned to the Project manager within 1 week of your exit from the project/ internship.

Type of Interaction

Virtual with Field Work, with flexible work hours. Student will be expected to spend 20-25 hours/week. Student will be required to do field work in the specified location. All interaction will happen over email/Group Chat/phone. No need to visit the office.
