Policybazaar is an one stop online destination for all type of insurance products. Holding experience and expertise on insurance to help customers choose the right insurance products for themselves. PolicyBazaar's New Car Self-Inspection App is meant for customers who forgot to renew their car insurance and thus have a break-in in their policy. This mandates an inspection of your car from the insurer side before your policy is renewed. This App lets you renew your Insurance without any 3rd party Inspection.

Project Steps

  • Students will be required to take up 2 different types of Tasks as a part of this project:
  • First, Conduct a Market Survey with Car Owners in & around your area to understand their awareness of the New App, its benefits, their Car Insurance Companies, etc. The questionnaire for the same will be provided to students by the Project Manager.
  • Next, from time to time, depending on their location & availability, students will be provided details of potential customers who are unable to use and understand Policy Bazaar’s Car Self-Inspection App.
  • They will be required to visit each of these potential customers for the following:
    1. Help the customer to use the App to make a 360-degree video of their car which is up for Insurance Renewal. The video should also capture the details of the car's RC copy and the Previous Year's Policy (if applicable) at the end of the car inspection.
    2. Make sure the Video is as per the guidelines given by PolicyBazaar and Upload the same on the application.
    3. Fill out a Customer Case Report Questionnaire - This questionnaire will include feedback from the customers about their experience & usage of the App, the Customer’s Details, their Car’s details, and your assessment on whether or not it is an acceptable vehicle (as per Insurance Guidelines)

Expected Project Output

Complete the Market Survey with at least 10 Car Owners and Complete at least 1 Car Inspection Visit with an assigned Customer.

NOTE: The success of the Car Inspection Visits will be determined as per the following criteria:
1. Making of the car's 360-degrees video via the App along with details of the Car's RC & Previous Year's Policy.
2. Successful Upload of the Video onto the App.
3. Submission of the filled customer case report questionnaire.

Type of Interaction

Virtual with Field Work, with flexible work hours. Student will be expected to spend 20-25 hours/week. Student will be required to do field work in the specified location. All interaction will happen over email/Group Chat/phone. No need to visit the office.
