We recognized that getting a fair price could be a hurdle for our customers, and we developed a Maximum Selling Price (MSP) calculator to help users estimate a reasonable price range. We also pioneered the Missed Call service in India, enabling first time or non internet users in India to give us a missed call so that we can help them post an ad. This way we aim to make people ‘Quikr’ users, perhaps even before they are internet users

Project Steps

  • The Project Manager will provide pre-determined Ad Posting and Response Collection Schedule to all the students. Students will be required to strictly adhere to the Dates mentioned in the Schedule while posting their Ads or Collecting the Response Details.
  • Design and post advertisements in various categories on the online classifieds portals as a mystery shopper. The list of classifieds sites will be mentioned in the Ad Schedule (Students should strictly adhere to the Dates and Other Details mentioned in the schedule while posting their Ads)
  • Once done, Record your Ad Details & Ad Posting Experience by 1. filling in the Ad Details Sheet (will be provided by the Project Manager along with the Schedule) and 2. taking screenshots of the Ad Postings and sharing it with the Project Manager via Google Drive.
  • After the Ads are Posted, Keep them Open for at least 5 days and Record the Daily Responses from interested buyers on timely basis in terms of quality and quantity of number of calls received, SMS queries received, Emails received, Quikr Chat messages received or contact through any other social platform (eg.Whatsapp). Quality of responses would mean the seriousness of the buyer. (This is to be done using the Ad Details & Response Sheet shared with you by the Project Manager)

Expected Project Output

1. Complete all the Ad Postings as per the schedule given (Ads should get posted on the exact date mentioned on the schedules and as per the details mentioned in the schedule).
2. Record the Ad Details & Ad Posting Experience in the given Sheet and Share the Screenshots of all the Ad Postings with the Project Manager.
3. Record Daily Ad Responses from buyers for each Ad for at least 5 consecutive days, in your Response Sheet.

Type of Interaction

Virtual with flexible work hours. Student will be expected to spend 10 hours/week. All interaction will happen over email/Group Chat/phone. No need to visit the office.
