Trip Advisor, World's Largest Travel Site, has partnered with OysterConnect.com to launch a nationwide Hotels & Restaurant Re-Branding Initiative. OysterConnect.com will, therefore, be running this project on behalf of TripAdvisor, whose branded sites make up the largest travel community in the world, reaching 315 million unique monthly visitors, and more than 200 million reviews and opinions covering more than 4.4 million accommodations, restaurants and attractions.

Project Steps

  • Read and understand all project related documents - Training Guidelines, Training Videos, FAQs.
  • Go through the List of Hotels / Restaurants provided to you by the Project Manager and Contact the Hotel/ Restaurant Manager via Call to educate them about TripAdvisor, Its Co-Branding Initiative and Get an Appointment from the interested Hotels/ Restaurants when you should visit them to complete the co-branding processes.
  • On the scheduled date & time,
    1. Meet the Hotel managers and get direction and permission on where the Stickering is to be done
    2. Once the stickering is done, you are expected to take pictures of the Hotel or Area of the Hotel where the Sticker has been pasted (Refer to Stickering Video)
    3. Upload the Pictures & Hotel Details from the Hotel's location onto an App which TripAdvisor will provide. (The project manager will train you on how to use the App before the project starts)
  • Similarly, visit and complete the Co-Branding (Stickering) for 20 such Hotels / Restaurants in the area allocated to you (Around 5 - 6 per week over 4 weeks). You should try stickering at least 30 Hotels / Restaurants, so that even if some are Rejected by the TripAdvisor Team, at least 20 out of them will come out as "Approved" and your target will be completed.
  • Note: The TripAdvisor Stickers that will be provided to you by the Project Manager is for your use during the project period only. Any leftover stickers remaining with you after completion of the project targets or in case you are dropping out from the project, need to be returned to the Project manager within 1 week of your exit from the project/ internship.

Expected Project Output

1. Complete the Secondary Research on all the Hotels/ Restaurants allocated to you.
2. Complete the Co-Branding of min. 20 Hotels/ Restaurants from the areas/ list allocated to you (Min. Target of 5 Stickered Hotels/ Restaurants per week, except the 1st week).

Project Schedule/ Timeline:
1. Secondary Research on Weekdays: Every week from Monday to Friday, conduct Secondary Research on the list of allocated Hotels so that you have 5 - 6 Appointments for the following weekend.
2. Co-branding Fieldwork on Weekends: Every Weekend (Sat to Sun), Visit all the Hotels/ Restaurants who have given appointments and Complete Stickering in min. 5 - 6 of these Hotels/ Restaurants.
3. Similarly, follow the above schedule for the next 4 weeks to complete your Total Project Target of 20 Approved Hotels.

Type of Interaction

Virtual with Field Work, with flexible work hours. Student will be expected to spend 20-25 hours/week. Student will be required to do field work in the specified location. All interaction will happen over email/Group Chat/phone. No need to visit the office.
