Project Steps

  • Review the company website and understand their products and services offered. Project includes 2 separate modules: 1) Product Communication -Product includes protection plans(both online (those can be bought online) and offline (those that require the help of a financial/insurance advisor) , savings plans,child plans. wealth/growth plans, ULIPs, money back plans, pension/retirement/annuities, endowment plans, whole life plans. 2) Corporate/Brand Communication: Give analysis of: 1) TV 2) Print and Outdoor 3) Engagement/On-ground activation
  • Under Product Communication: -Also include some examples where product communication ties back to brand philosophy. (And where brand has not simply pasted a tagline at the end of communication.) After Doing Project Task 1 and 2, your presentation should cover -Big themes that emerge -Examples that stand out as impactful work (in each of the above categories- tv, print, outdoor, on-ground) -Positioning of players (This means more than the tagline, A note/paragraph on what the brand believes in, stands for, brand personality and values and core essence). -Where possible, proof of success of the positioning/communication in the marketplace. (e.g. Did it help increase market share or sales or add more customers? Did it win efficacy awards?) - Give us all communication images/ads as annexure.
  • Under Brand Communication: do separate analysis of 1) Digital Marketing for global life insurance brands 2) Integrated campaigns for the global life insurance brands (these may or may not be the same brands that you analyse for digital. There could be brands who have done great digital marketing and others who have done great overall integrated marketing, but not so great digital work)
  • Expected outcome from students: - For digital - Your Top 5 customer-friendly websites, Top 5 best use of Facebook, Top 5 best use of LinkedIn, Top 5 best use of Twitter, Top 5 best use of YouTube, Top 5 Content Marketers. These could be the insurer's global efforts or a country -specific one. - For Integrated - Your Top 5 integrated campaigns
  • Based on research and analysis, submit your work in prescribed manner to the mentor.

Type of Interaction

Virtual with flexible work hours. Student will be expected to spend 10 hours/week. All interaction will happen over email/Group Chat/phone. No need to visit the office.

Any Additional Information

Students have to get a letter from their institute stating that the project they will do will be part of their curriculum.
